René Leven is the Global Segment Leader for Hydrogen & CCUS at John Crane (a member of Smiths Group). He is an accomplished Energy Transition strategist and has extensive experience advising clients in the field of process automation and flow control on complex capital projects in the energy and process industries. Over the last 15 years, Rene has been involved in Energy Transition related topics such as energy management systems, process efficiency optimization, renewable energy projects and, in the past two years, Hydrogen and CCUS projects and applications. Rene has an M.Sc. in Sales Engineering and Product Management from the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany, had lived and worked in the Asia Pacific Region for 10 years and currently resides in the United Kingdom.
