Accelerating Japan’s energy transition through innovation and global connections

Deputy Minister Kaimuddin leads coordination in the infrastructure and transportation initiatives of the government with a variety of stakeholders. Other projects also span from energy transition, to foreign investment opportunities into Indonesia, and digitization projects. In his 20 years of experience, Mr. Kaimuddin has taken senior executive roles in a range of industries, such as private equity, aviation services, cement producers, and banking services. Most recently, as Chief Executive Officer, he led the fundraising for Indonesia’s ecommerce unicorn startup,Bukalapak through the largest IPO in the country to date. Mr. Kaimuddin received his BSc in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and MBA from Stanford University.
