Robert studied chemistry at the universities of Braunschweig and Utah, and conducted his PhD studies at BasCat, a JointLab between BASF and the Technical University of Berlin. During his time there, he focused on the surface modification of heterogeneous catalysts used in hydrogenation and dehydrogenation reactions.

In 2023, Robert joined hte GmbH as a Project Manager for R&D Solutions, leading custom projects in the field of carbon management. He coordinates high-throughput studies targeting methane and carbon dioxide conversion, syngas chemistry, and hydrogen storage.
