Masa Shirotake is Senior Technical Officer in the New Energy Business Development Department at Marubeni Corporation. He is responsible for technical due diligence and configuration of low‑carbon ammonia projects, including process review, technology assessment, and carbon intensity (CI) calculations to evaluate emissions profiles and alignment with emerging standards.

Earlier in his career, he held multiple engineering and management roles at a Japanese electric utility, focusing on nuclear power plant operations, safety enhancement, and regulatory engagement. After joining Marubeni, he expanded into regional asset management and power project development across Asia and the Middle East.

Masa is a licensed Professional Engineer in Japan in nuclear and radiation, and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The University of Tokyo.
