Mr. Ganesh Karki is a distinguished businessperson, entrepreneur, and a prominent leader in Nepal's hydropower sector. He is the current President of the Independent Power Producers Association of Nepal (IPPAN), and holds several key leadership roles, including Honorary Consul of the Republic of Mauritius for Nepal, Chartered President of the Rotary Club of Patan Heritage, President of the National Gojurya Karate Association of Nepal and Advisor of Nepal Karate Federation.
With over a decade of experience, Mr. Karki has played an instrumental role in the development of multiple hydropower projects. He serves as the Managing Director of several projects, including the Upper Solu Khola Hydropower Project (19.8 MW) and Hewa Khola A Small Hydropower Project (10 MW), Sabha Khola B & C Hydropower Project (32 MW), Super Khudi Hydropower Project (26.5 MW) and many more. Additionally, he is involved in the investment and construction sectors through companies like BG Pvt. Ltd., Baibhav Power Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Cream Hydel Pvt. Ltd., and many more.
Mr. Karki is also a respected figure in various associations, including the Nepal Chamber of Commerce’s Energy Committee, the Nepal Hydropower Association and Nepal Mumbai Chamber of Commerce. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Mr. Karki has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honors. He was conferred the Jana Sewa Shree by the President of Nepal—one of the country’s most esteemed civil decorations—for his exceptional service to the nation through the energy sector. Furthermore, he has received several other awards, including the Bisesh Sewa Samman 2075 awarded by Focus Nepal, the Rastriya Nagarik Sewa Samman presented by Nagarik Ekta Samaj, among other honors bestowed by various national organizations in appreciation of his leadership and service.
