He completed his master's degree at Kyushu University Graduate School in March 2006, and received his PhD in Engineering from Yokohama National University
Graduate School in March 2018. In April 2006, he joined Asahi Kasei Electronics Corporation, where he worked on LSI development.
In October 2010, he transferred to Asahi Kasei Corporation, where he worked on research and development of alkaline water electrolysis systems, including the development of water electrolyzers for the Fukushima Hydrogen Energy Research Field.
He is currently the group leader in charge of water electrolyzer development, and also serves as Asahi Kasei's lead expert in the electrochemistry field.
