Toshi Nishizawa is Senior Vice President of JERA’s LNG Division, in charge of LNG procurement for JERA. With over 30 years of experience at JERA (and formerly TEPCO), Toshi has led numerous major LNG procurement agreements and played a key role in shaping the company's LNG portfolio.

Prior to coming back to Tokyo to take the lead role for LNG procurement in May 2019, he was Managing Director of JERA Australia and affiliates in Perth, where he managed several LNG upstream companies and investments.

Throughout his career, Hitoshi has been deeply involved in all facets of the LNG value chain — from negotiating long-term, short-term, and spot contracts, to managing upstream LNG business ventures, including TEPCO’s first-ever participation in upstream projects. His expertise spans joint ventures, commercial operations, financial structuring, and corporate strategy related to LNG.

Toshi holds an MBA from Cornell University and a BA from the University of Tokyo.
