Rob has nearly 20 years of experience working across the upstream and low carbon energy sector. Currently, he leads the Asia strategic corporates & partnerships team in bp’s Gas & Low Carbon (G&LCE) business as vice president. In this role, he oversees a regional team focused on managing strategic customer relationships, scaling business development and incubating new commercial solutions to our customers’ evolving energy needs. He has been based in Singapore since 2021 with his wife and two young daughters.

Prior to this role, Rob has worked across upstream commercial, business development, portfolio and strategy in bp for over nine years. During this time, he has worked on commercial areas of bp’s upstream portfolio across Angola, Trinidad, Algeria, the North Sea, Indonesia, Alaska and Australia. He also spent two years in strategic planning and business development in bp’s global HQ working across the company’s upstream portfolio.

Before joining bp, Rob was in energy strategy consulting for Accenture in London, working on LNG business operating models, operational performance and risk management in non-operated joint ventures. Prior to that, he worked in subsurface on UK Southern North Sea gas assets at Engie, including spending time offshore.

Rob holds a Master of Geology degree from the University of Southampton; his master’s project on volcanic geochemistry was subsequently expanded and published in the journal Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2012. Outside of work, Rob is a keen skier, cyclist and sailor and enjoys travelling with his family practicing his photography at the same time.
