Rob Homer has more than 25 years in development of software for energy simulation planning and forecasting with a focus on design and software development.  Rob began his career as a software developer at EDS Utilities (currently Hitachi Energy) division focused on gas simulation software and short-term forecasting using artificial neural networks.  During his tenure he developed and designed on nearly all the simulation products offered by ABB (at the time) and was responsible for all the planning solutions.

Rob began at Energy Exemplar in December of 2018 as the Product Manager for PLEXOS Gas focused on solving the next generation of energy problems.  His focus has been on gas market analysis, transportation, and gas power sector coupling.  Rob’s recent focus has been on the transition of energy strategies and policy given the complex emergence of data center demand, strict carbon policy goals, and emerging technologies and the impact of these to the energy landscape.
