Jens Bøgsted Orfelt is an Executive Vice President (EVP) and Regional President for RWE Renewables Offshore, where he is responsible for leading RWE’s offshore wind development activities across the Asia-Pacific region.

As a Director of RWE and a member of the global executive leadership team for RWE Offshore Wind, Jens brings over 19 years of experience in the energy sector. He is a passionate, results-driven executive with a proven track record of leading offshore wind development and driving strategic growth across international markets He is engaged in the renewable energy industry, specialising in offshore wind. With a proven track record of leading and growing organisations and delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects across the Asia-Pacific region, Jens is committed to advancing sustainable energy solutions that contribute to a greener future.

Earlier in his career, Jens worked as a lawyer, advising on the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of large-scale offshore wind-related contracts. He also served as lead counsel for end-of-warranty close-out processes on major offshore wind projects. As a result, he brings extensive experience across the full lifecycle of offshore wind projects, from origination and early-stage development through final investment decision (FID), procurement and project execution, to operations and maintenance.

Prior to joining the offshore wind industry, Jens practised as a civil litigation and arbitration lawyer for several years, focusing primarily on energy and banking-related disputes. Prior hereto, he served as a public prosecutor with the Danish Justice Department.

Jens holds a Master of Laws from the University of Copenhagen, which he earned in 2007.
