Yasunori Shimizu is the Head of Process Control Section in Process Engineering Department at Chiyoda Corporation with 19 years of experience in LNG, carbon capture and storage, and energy infrastructure projects. He has held leadership roles in process engineering, commissioning, operations, and project management throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept development and FEED to EPC execution, startup, and plant operations. His expertise includes LNG process design, process control, dynamic simulation, process safety, commissioning, and multidisciplinary engineering management. Throughout his career, he has contributed to large-scale energy projects across Asia, Middle East and North America, working closely with leading international energy companies. He currently serves as an LNG SME, providing technical leadership, technology evaluation, and strategic engineering guidance for LNG, decarbonization, and emerging energy projects.
