Kazuhiko Takahashi is currently Corporate Officer & COO of Power Grids Business Unit, as well as General Manager of Transmission and Distribution Systems Division at Hitachi Limited. Having attained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Waseda University, he joined Hitachi in 1987 before going on to complete his masters in electric power engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA. Between 2005 and 2019, Takahashi held various management roles within transmission & distribution departments, overseeing a period of unprecedented success and growth for Hitachi Ltd in the T&D sector. He then moved on to be General Manager of the Global Energy Platform Division in 2020, followed swiftly by his elevation to his current joint senior management roles in 2021 & 2022 respectively.
