After graduating from Rikkyo University, he entered politics, serving as a member of the Yokohama City Assembly, a member of the House of Representatives, and Vice Minister of the Cabinet Office. 2013, he launched the Diet Members Caucus for the Promotion of a Hydrogen Society, and is responsible for creating policies. Currently, he is a visiting professor at Tama University Graduate School and Kyushu University, as well as the CEO of H2&DX inc. He has found new value for the environment plus α, such as hydrogen cooking and hydrogen concerts. In April 2024, he will open hydrogen cuisine "icHi".
