Ushio Okuyama leads Gurīn Energy’s business and investment activities in Japan, with a focus on renewable energy and utility-scale battery energy storage.

He brings more than 25 years of experience across the energy sector and has held leadership roles at Wood Mackenzie and Enel X, helping drive market development and energy transition initiatives in Japan.

Working closely with utilities, investors, policymakers and corporate energy users, he contributes to the advancement of energy security, market reform and decarbonisation across Japan’s power sector.

Ushio holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Tokyo Institute of Technology and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
