Dr. Kae Takase is Senior Manager at Renewable Energy Institute, where her work focuses on energy scenario analysis and power system modeling for Japan’s transition toward a high-renewable and net-zero energy system. Her research assesses decarbonization pathways, power system adequacy, flexibility, transmission, and the role of renewable electricity in economy-wide transition. She has previously worked at CDP Japan, the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan, RITE, and the Center for Low Carbon Society Strategy, JST. She contributes to international and domestic discussions on climate and energy policy, including the GHG Protocol revision, SBTi working groups, and policy processes involving the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of the Environment, Japan. Her broader work connects robust modeling and scenario analysis with renewable energy policy, corporate decarbonization, and credible net-zero target setting.
