Joe Bauer is the Senior Advisor for the Indo-Pacific at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), where he serves in the Office of the Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, he supports the Bank's Indo-Pacific deal flow and transaction structuring, advising senior leadership on geopolitical events and opportunities across Asia's most strategically important markets. He previously served as a Professional Staff Member with U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on China where he led the portfolio on partner and allied relations.

Joe holds a BA in Economics and Asian Studies from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and an MA in International Economics and China Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C.
