Virginie Cavalli began her career in France with the Air Liquide Group in 1992 as an internal
auditor. She was transferred in 1995 to the US to exert the Internal Audit function for the
Americas zone.
She spent the next 10 years taking on a diverse spectrum of responsibilities across the group
from Finance to Operations Control to Region Management.
In 2007, Virginie was appointed the Managing Director for Air Liquide in Chile, responsible for
traversing Air Liquide’s business in Chile through the high volatility and instability that defined
South America during this period.
In 2011, Virginie was appointed as Vice-President for the Industrial Merchant Business Line for
the Asia-Pacific Zone, based in Singapore. In 2016, she assumed her current position of Chief
Executive Officer for the Southeast Asia Region, with responsibility for 7 countries.
On November 1st 2019, Virginie was appointed President and CEO, Air Liquide Japan, based in
Tokyo.
Virginie Cavalli holds a Master’s of Business Administration, and speaks fluent French, English
and Spanish.
