Toshihiko AWANO is a deputy general manager of Ammonia Value Chain Project Department.

He joined IHI in 1990 and was engaged in R&D, design and commission of the remote handling systems in the nuclear business.

Then he was in charge of energy strategy planning in the Corporate Planning Department for a decade.

He has been in current position since 2022 and contributed his extensive knowledge as an engineer and administrator in areas of regulations, standards, and certification.
