BIO

Hiroshi joined the Global CCS Institute in January 2012 as Branch Representative – Japan. He worked at Sumitomo Coal Mining for 26 years and was responsible for exploration and development in overseas coal and gas concessions, management of overseas coal mining operation, abandoned coal mine methane utilization, R&D of ECBMR (Enhanced Coal Bed Methane Recovery) and CCS, CDM project development related to CMM & VAM (Coal Mine and Ventilation Air Methane) utilization, etc. Hiroshi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Resources and Environmental Engineering Department from Waseda University.
